These hangers are exactly the same width of the average 4T hanger at a store. The description states they are 17.9" wide in one place and 12" wide in another. They are clearly 12" wide, as described on the box when I received them. Will have to ship them back as they are too small for my daughter's clothing and she's a size 7. Wish the description was correct and it would have saved me the trouble!

These amazing hangers are great. They keep every kind of clothing hanging as it should. They are robust enough to stand up to kids grabby-yanking hands. The material on them not only keeps the clothes from slipping, but is great for not damaging delicate sweaters. Additionally, they are nice and slim, so they don't take up extra room in the closet. I just ordered another six boxes because I am so pleased with them. The adult sized ones fill my closet as well.
