They keep my clothes from sliding off without having to jam part of the material into the little grooves that plastic hangers always have. I bought 50 of them but I grossly underestimated how much stuff I have to hang! So I just ordered 100 more. I wish they came in packs of 50 rather than packs of 10 only. The only thing I would change about the hangers would be making the color more vibrant. They're a little dull and I was hoping they'd be more of a lavender color...they have a purple tint but it just isn't vibrant enough for my liking. The description states they are 17.9" wide in one place and 12" wide in another. They are clearly 12" wide, as described on the box when I received them. Will have to ship them back as they are too small for my daughter's clothing and she's a size 7. Wish the description was correct and it would have saved me the trouble! Slacks would be okay. The hanger part that goes over the closet rod pulls out...can't handle too much weight. liked the concept of being narrow to not take up a lot of room hanging clothing in a RV closet where space must be maximized. The other hangers without the bar across the hanger is not sturdy either...get the ones with the bar.
